Hi! I’m a PhD Candidate in Philosophy at Boston University. In Fall 2025, I am a Dissertation Fellow at the Boston University Center for the Humanities. I have been a visiting student at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt and at Princeton University with the Princeton Project in Philosophy and Religion. Prior to Boston, I completed a BPhil at the University of Oxford and a BA in philosophy and economics at the University of Illnois at Urbana-Champaign.
My research focuses on German Idealism, Buddhist Philosophy, and epistemology in relation to these two traditions. I am currently writing my dissertation on Kant's transcendental idealism. You can learn more about my dissertation here. My other interests include (1) the epistemology of Kant and of Buddhism in relation to contemporary epistemology; (2) the idealism of Yogācāra Buddhism, especially as it is represented in Xuanzang's' Cheng Weishi Lun; and (3) Hegel's political philosophy.
You can find my CV here.
I was born and raised in Qinhuangdao, Hebei, China, a city most famous for hosting the eastern end of the Great Wall. Outside philosophy, I am a serious cook of both Chinese and world cuisine, and I enjoy playing tennis. I am a lifelong supporter of Arsenal.
